....just a QUICKIE!!!

After die~cutting some Canvas Corp Handmade paper

I was left with a beautiful reverse background...

I just couldn't throw it away....
'cause I had a "WHAT IF MOMENT"...

...."what if" I colored the left over piece of paper
with some Silk Acrylic Glaze...

So, I proceeded to spritzed the paper with water,
and painted around the inside edges...
then spritzed the paper again
to help the Glaze flow....

When my creations was dry...
I adhered it to a card
of the same paper,
dabbed on a bit of glitter....
a few words....
and I had a QUICK LITTLE CARD!!

Hope you enjoyed my
QUICKIE...."what if moment"!!

  1. Clever idea... we always have these left over pieces and should really use them.

  2. I just used this die last nite on a card I posted today. I saved the negative, as it was too pretty to waste. I don't have the glazes (YET!), but I'm going to see if I can do something similar to what you did here. Wonderful idea, and thanks for posting. Here's a link to my card: http://www.carolinacardsbymaryh.blogspot.com/2013/06/friends.html (nothing so gorgeous as what you did here, but I was quite happy with the results!). TFS

  3. Lynn, Thanks for visiting to see what you inspired! Unfortunately, I hit delete instead of Publish, but I was thrilled that you popped over for a visit. I really did like how you used the negative, (so copycat! but did link back to you). It has made me think twice when I'm placing the die for the original cut, so that I leave space for maybe reusing the negative. This was an idea that I'd never though to really try. Signed to follow this blog so I can get back to see more inspiring things. Hugs
