Diecut Background

Hi everyone.....Lynne here
with a little more
"outta the box thinkin' "

I began by cutting an 8.5" x 5.5" piece of striped paper.
Then I die cut (3) Blooming Arbor images
from a light colored paper.

I applied Multi Medium to the face of the card
and laid the die cuts into the Multi Medium,
I then placed a piece of scrap paper over the entire card,
pressing lightly to help all the pieces parts to adhere,
 trimming as necessary.

Now, it you look closely at the background of my card....
You can see the "Blooming Arbor" die cuts.

I brushed on a layer of Apricot Nectar Silk Acrylic Glaze,
and then added a layer of Precious Metal Effects Paint ~ Gold.

To finish off the card face...
I die cut (2) Scrolly Corners images
from black cardstock,
and applied to the card face with Multi Medium.
(using the same technique as above.)

Lastly, I applied a Textured Petaloo flower,
accented it with a ribbon, cord and tulle.

And there you have it....

Die~Namites as a Mask!!

Howdy peeps...
A long holiday weekend is on the way for
folks in the US....any scrappy plans??!??!

I created a new layout....
using the AMAZING Die~Namites Dies.

I have a tendency to be a bit of
an "outta the box" thinker....
So, I cut (3) Flower Scroll from a piece
of Roses are Red patterned paper,
from Splash of Color.

I laid the diecut images on the background paper,
with the side down I wanted showing later on
and stippled on some gesso.
HOW FUN!!

I then peeled the diecut images of the background,
dried them and used them as part of my flower grouping!!

I also diecut the Butterfly Applique
from the same pattern paper,
because I LOVE the butterfly,
I cut it from the whole images,
using the leftovers in my flower cluster!

Here are the dies I used on my project....

Breathe Deep....

Howdy Peeps....
Lynne Forsythe here with another
card I created with a Die~Namites Die...

Spring has SPRUNG....
and what a sight for the eyes.
The flowers are blooming....
the leaves are pooping on the trees...
There is LIFE!

All the color inspired me to create a Bright and Cheery Card!

I began with the Flower Swirl Die...
(which, by the way, will be shipping June 3rd)

I cut the die from a piece of Handmade Paper by Canvas Corp
that has the feel of watercolor paper.
You may find you need to "shim" the
dies when cutting through denser, more fibrous papers.
I just use the card stock that comes as the backing
for embellishments.

I then pulled out a piece of Tissue Stock
I cut (6) 1.5" x 3" pieces of the Tissue stock
and cut out the larger flowers.

I then, cut the flowers apart.

Placed a brad through the center of the flower
and crumpled the Tissue Stock
creating a 3-D flower.

I then colored the Die~Namites Die ~ Flower Swirl
with Fern ~ Silk Acrylic Glaze
and the buds with the Chiffon Pink ~ Twinkling H20
with an accent of Evening Primrose ~ Silk Acrylic Glaze.

I colored the flower with Chiffon Pink ~ Twinkling H20's
and Honey Amber ~ Silk Acrylic Glaze.

With the end product being this
LOVE~LY Spring Card!!

Hope you enjoyed my creating utilizing the
Die~Namites Flower Spiral Die!!

Don't forget.....we are having a DT Call!!

....just a QUICKIE!!!

After die~cutting some Canvas Corp Handmade paper

I was left with a beautiful reverse background...

I just couldn't throw it away....
'cause I had a "WHAT IF MOMENT"...

...."what if" I colored the left over piece of paper
with some Silk Acrylic Glaze...

So, I proceeded to spritzed the paper with water,
and painted around the inside edges...
then spritzed the paper again
to help the Glaze flow....

When my creations was dry...
I adhered it to a card
of the same paper,
dabbed on a bit of glitter....
a few words....
and I had a QUICK LITTLE CARD!!

Hope you enjoyed my
QUICKIE...."what if moment"!!

Today is the Day!!

I am so excited to say
TODAY IS THE DAY....

we can spill the beans....

WELCOME Die~Namites Dies!!!
A new diecut company!!

Above is a little creation I made using

I cut (2) full images from a piece of Canvas Corp
Handmade Paper.

One was colored black....
The other Green with
Twinkling H20's.

I then cut (2) each of the "Daisies"
from the same Handmade Paper.

I colored them with Various Twinkling H20's.

The background was created by
apply Gesso to the Burlap Canvas
through TCW "Mini Bricks" template.
When dry, I used a palette knife to
randomly apply both
Viva Colour ~Amber Gold and Golden Green Ferro,
through the same template.

I just love the dimension of these flowers.
