Die-Namite December Daily

Hi Friends

Today I am bringing you two days out of my 2012 December Daily mini album. If you haven't heard about December daily you can check Ali Edwards link HERE. I have been wanting to finish up my 2012 album before starting my new one for this year. The Dies I have used in the two pages are the Elegant Holly die and the Swirly Poinsettia die.

 Elegant Holly

 Swirly Poinsettia

For this first page (day 14) I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers featured last month when
Die-Namites was a sponsor.

Here is the sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch using the beautiful Elegant Holly Die.

I used the die to cut the gold shape and then added some glitter and glue.

For my next page (day 15) I documented my best friends wedding. I kept it simple as to not take away the photo but added the lovely Swirly Poinsettia die. I layered part of a green die onto the white one for the swirls and kept the centers in the white flower. I used a clear adhesive around the flower and added Tim Holtz distress glitter. I also added small blue rhinestones in the center.

The embellished dies were the perfect touch for these pages and I just love how they look in my holiday album. Are you doing a December Daily this year? Make sure to check out ALL the lovely Die-Namites Holiday Dies!

Die-Namite Wrapping!!

It seems like just yesterday we welcomed the month of November, but here we are just days away from December!  That means the holiday season is almost here, who's ready?

With the season of gift giving coming I wanted to show you how you can dress up a small gift package using your Die-Namite Dies!!

I took a simple pillow box and dressed it up by cutting some glitter paper with the Knobby Branch and Pompom dies!

I love how the glittery dies look against the corregated kraft pillow box!

To finish it off I created some rolled flowers from scrap paper and added some Tarnished Brass Distress Stickles for more bling.  A little twine and some rusted bells are the icing on the 'cake'!

A simple but beautiful way to dress up a small gift for someone special!

Merry Christmas ~ November Sketch

HOWDY DIE~NAMITES FANS!!!

Lynne here....
using DT member Dunja Dücker
November's Sketch and Die~Namites Challenge!

There is ONE IMPORTANT THING.....
you must use at least ONE Die~Namites Die!

Dunja's challenge ~ use BLING in your creation!
Here is the card I created using
the sketch as a basis!

I used the Holly Branch die

I die~cut many of the Holly Branches from
Coordinations ~ Distress Cardstock.

I then ran the Holly Branch
through an embossing folder.
Then, using Gold ~ Precious Metal Effect Paint,
I went around the edges of the holly leaves.

I hydrated a Chestnut Brown ~ Twinkling H20,
then I painted the "branches" of the die~cut.
On the "berries" I added a bit of
Red ~ Viva Colour ~ German Glitter.

I used the "Decked Out" Collection by Splash of Color
for the card base. My oval was created using
some wire wrapped with burlap strands.

What a WONDERFUL TIME
I had using this sketch!!
Won't you JOIN ALONG??!??!

You have until the last day of the month
to post your creation on your blog,
with mention of the Die~Namites Die used and

Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String.....

Hi Everyone!

The holidays are finally here and I have started my Christmas shopping! One of my favorite parts of Christmas is wrapping up the gifts I choose for my friends and family. I try and be creative with my gift giving more than traditional wrapping paper and curly ribbon so that the recipient is even more excited to open their pretty package.

 Elegant Holly

Today I am using the Elegant Holly die.

This die was the perfect accent for a small gift that I was giving. I cut the die out of Green cardstock and added little red gems for the berries. I attached them using a small glue dot. Then I placed a small bow and tag on top. simple yet unique. How will you use your Die-namite Holiday Dies this season?

Vintage Christmas

It seems like in just a few weeks the holidays will be here, are you ready?

While I still have time I'm busy working on getting some more Christmas cards done.  For this card I used the Winter Poinsettia and Pompom Dies!

I really love all things vintage but my favorite is a beautiful vintage Santa...or should I say Father Christmas. :)

The Winter Poinsettia die has such a pretty swirl & leaf design that I wanted to show off so I used it as a backdrop for my flower.  I used a piece of gold glitter cardstock to cut it out, nothing says Christmas like a little glitter!

Too bad my camera doesn't pick up the glitter, it really is pretty.

I wanted to create some extra layers behind the flower so I cut the Pompom die was cut from a soft green cardstock and tucked it between the holly leaf and the flower.

If you're busy making your Christmas cards too and need some more insiration then don't forget to join along with this month's Sketch and Die~ Namites Challenge....
DT member Dunja Dücker has come up with a WONDERFUL SKETCH!!
Who knows you could be the randomly chosen winner of a $25 gift certificate to Die~Namites Dies!!

Have a great week!
