One Little Word Tag

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Ali Edwards started the One Little Word (OWL) trend which many scrapbookers participate in every year.  I've done this for a number of years myself, at the start of the new year I choose a new year to help me focus on what I want for the year.

My word for 2014 is Embrace!  There are lots of things I want to embrace this year...including turning 40.  To help me remember my word and keep it in focus I created this cute little tag and will hang it in my space where I can see it.

I created the tag using Tim Holtz Distress Ink on the background paired with one of his stencils.  I added a little white Distress Paint and another of Tim's stencils for some extra texture.

Once the background was ready I cut the Rose With Leaves die from smooth white cardstock then coloured it with Bundled Sage & Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.  This created the perfect backdrop for this cute Prima stamp.

Once the tag was all put together I finished off the Rose With Leaces by adding some 'dew drops' using Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Translucent Magic.

Have you chosen a word for 2014?  If you have or will I hope you make something pretty to remind you of your word and help you keep it in focus!

Have a fabulous weekend!
