Thinking Spring!

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited to be here, sharing my first official project on the blog today!
While it is cold and snowy for many of us, I could not help but think about warmer temps and all things green-and in this case, purple as well!  As Lynne/Tonya have pointed out earlier, Radiant Orchid is Pantone's color of the year.  I must admit, purple has never been one of my go to colors, but I knew I needed to give it a try; the Hanging Grapes Die~Namites Die gave me the perfect opportunity to pull out the purples!

I cut the  Hanging Grapes Die~Namites Die 2 times from white cardstock and 1 time from vellum.

I also used pieces of the Love Arrangement Die~Namites Die to add white leaves around the grape clusters and the bow.

The two white cardstock die cuts were colored with Copic markers.  Then I cut away the left hand cluster of grapes from each of these die cuts as well as from the vellum die cut.

This left hand cluster of grapes  was adhered to the left lower corner of the card, layering the vellum first, then the colored grapes, with the second colored grape die cut being popped up with a dimensional adhesive.

The remaining two clusters of grapes were adhered to the right upper corner of the card, framing the scripture verse.

I hope I have inspired you to pull out your Die~Namites Dies and create; why not try this month's sketch challenge?  The sketch, designed by Tonya, is fabulous!  And while you are at it, throw in some Radiant Orchid- the dare is to use purple!

Thanks for stopping by!
