Tulip Vase by Peggy Baker

Hello everyone, it's Peggy Lee here
to share this pretty card just screaming spring!
Here in New Hampshire we have finally had a
few warm days!!!
I was inspired to create a little spring in my card collection,
with this adorable die cut "tulip vase"...paired
with bright and cheerful colors.
Card Base measures 4x6
I knew I wanted layers but to help break up
all that bright color tones I embossed the yellow
and white card stock pieces....

Tulip Vase
What I love to do with my
Die~Namites Dies is to cut two-three die cuts
out of plain white card stock (nice to have them on hand).
Then I grab some of my favorite mists, paints, watercolors..etc,
and start to play...
How I got this amazing stain glass/water color...
I took paints, acrylic glaze lightly brushed them
over the die cut one-two coats
heat set ( I like to really heat set to make the paint bubble)
Last step I used Distress Stickles in Rock Candy
lightly brushed over the tips of tulips...!!!
LOVE THAT...
...added a doily
Highlighted the embossed white layer with
Liquid Pearls in pearl
it gave it a quilted feel....
Glimmer misted seam binding to make
my own crinkle ribbon...added a
vintage mother of pearl button...beautiful touch.
Thanks so much for stopping by today,
hugs
Peggy Lee
