August Sketch and Dare Challenge by Tonya Gibbs

Hi everyone, I'm so excited to announce this Month's Sketch & Dare Challenge.
This month's Dare is to use Washi Tape!
and here is the sketch that I drew for the challenge.

There are  THREE WAYS TO ENTER...
the Die~Namites Monthly Challenge!

Entry #1 YOU MUST....use at least one Die~Namites Die in your creation.
Entry #2 USE the sketch! It can be interpreted (loosely or exactly)
as a card, layout or altered piece!
Entry #3 INCORPORATE the dare into your creation.

Each participant will receive one entry into our random drawing
for each entry into the challenge.

You have until the last day of the month to post your creation on your blog,
with mention of the Die~Namites Die used and a link back to the Die~Namites Dies blog.
Link your blog post, using Inlinkz, to the Die~Namites Die blog.

A random winner will be chosen from eligible participants for a
$25 Gift Certificate to Die~Namites Dies.

For my project,  I decided to feature these two fabulous dies from Die-Namites.
The Ivy Corner from the new Holiday releases

and the hearts from the Heart Doily die.

Since the challenge was to use washi tape, I went all out with the glitter tapes from Tape Works.  I love that the glitter doesn't rub off and the tapes are super thin and light weight.

I started by covering a sheet of  black cardstock with the solid gold tape,
making sure there were no gaps in the strips of tape.

Then I die cut the cardstock with the Ivy Corner die.
I used the negative pieces from the cardstock on the
Heart Doily Die so that I would have matching hearts!

Look at how gorgeous these dies look cut from the Washi.
I cut the Ivy Corner die into smaller pieces to use around my flower.
Then I sprinkled a few hearts for from Heart Doily Die  to mimic the sprinkles in the sketch.

I can't wait to see what you guys create with this sketch & dare!
Don't forget to link up your blog post here when you get your project finished.

Thanks for stopping in today!
