September Sketch and Dare Challenge

Hi everyone, I'm so excited to announce this Month's Sketch & Dare Challenge.
This month's Dare is to use the color ORANGE
and here is the sketch that I drew for the challenge.

There are  THREE WAYS TO ENTER...
the Die~Namites Monthly Challenge!

Entry #1 YOU MUST....use at least one Die~Namites Die in your creation.
Entry #2 USE the sketch! It can be interpreted (loosely or exactly)
as a card, layout or altered piece!
Entry #3 INCORPORATE the dare into your creation.

Each participant will receive one entry into our random drawing
for each entry into the challenge.

You have until the last day of the month to post your creation on your blog,
with mention of the Die~Namites Die used and a link back to the Die~Namites Dies blog.
PLEASE add a link to your direct post, not your entire blog.

A random winner will be chosen from eligible participants for a
$25 Gift Certificate to Die~Namites Dies.

I have completely fallen in love with the Tangerine, Aqua, Green color combo lately. Seriously Orange (and I never thought I would say this) is becoming one of my go to colors!   To I've decided this month to make the challenge to use something Orange!   Any shade or tone with due!

For today's share I used these amazing Die~Namites Die.

To create the illusion of depth, I trimmed the Ivy Corner die in half and placed sprigs of it on top of the bottom layer, then began building layers on top.  The Winter Bouquet was colored with my Prima chalks to create a softer look.   This offers contrast from the green card stock I used for the Ivy Corner die.

The Swirly Butterfly just looked so natural perched on top of my sentiment.  To give my die-cuts elevation,  I only glued them at the base. Then I bent them slightly upward to give them shape and depth.

I just love all the layers on this card.  What a fantastic way to use up those 6x6 pads and/or scraps!

I can't wait to see how you use this sketch and dare challenge.  Remember you can create whatever you want with this sketch.  I think it would make a fantastic layout as well!

Thanks for stopping in today,

Tonya Gibbs

  2. I love orange and it is a perfect color to use, now that Fall is arriving. Love this sketch, too. I might have to join this Challenge! It would be a first for me but now that my first order of die-namite dies have arrived, I can finally join in all the fun. Thanks, Tonya!
