October Sketch and Dare Challenge

Hi everyone, this is Tyra and I'm delighted to announce this Month's Sketch & Dare Challenge.

This month's DARE is to use BURLAP!
Let's first take a look at this gorgeous sketch by Tonya:

There are  THREE WAYS TO ENTER...
the Die~Namites Monthly Challenge!

Entry #1 YOU MUST....use at least one Die~Namites Die in your creation.
Entry #2 USE the sketch! It can be interpreted (loosely or exactly)
as a card, layout or altered piece!
Entry #3 INCORPORATE the dare into your creation.
Each participant will receive one entry into our random drawing
for each entry into the challenge.

You have until the last day of the month to post your creation on your blog,
with mention of the Die~Namites Die used and

a link back to the Die~Namites Dies blog.

PLEASE add a link to your direct post,
not your entire blog.

A random winner will be chosen from eligible participants for a
$25 Gift Certificate to Die~Namites Dies.

In my neck of the woods, the air is crisp and the leaves are changing.
Those signs of fall are what inspired my take on this month's beautiful sketch:

For this challenge I used the following Die-Namites Dies:

I decided to create a tag that was all about texture. Here is how I made it happen:

  1. Using a standard size tag as a guide, I cut my card stock and mesh-like paper.
  2. I used the larger Jack and Jill Flower die to create a cut onto white paper, a nice contrast.
  3. I used the Ramona Flower die on this lovely buttery smooth, deep orange card stock. I assembled the tag and layered in the beautiful dies, creating a nice mix of texture and color!
  4. I finished off the tag with a burlap bird, other embellishments and a "happy halloween" sticker. If you are not a sticker person, a wood sentiment would work just as well.

I think this tag feels like fall!  I am looking forward to seeing what you create! Take care and thanks for stopping by the blog! Hugs, Tyra
