Day Two With Viva Las VegaStamps!

Welcome to Day Two of our "Christmas in the Air" blog hop with Viva LasVegaStamps!

Fa La La La La....yes Christmas is in the Air...here in New Hampshire the weather has turned nippy and fluffy white flakes have arrived! I was so excited to hear that we were taking part in a blog hop with Die-Namites and Viva Las VegaStamps, how cool is that! Christmas is my favorite time of year, it's everything the weather, decorating, baking, shopping, carols but my most favorite part is making/creating homemade gifts, decorations and cards!!

So let me share with you my "shabby inspired card"!
I have shared photos, products I used as well as a tiny Christmas Tutorial so keep reading!

From Die~Namites Dies I used these dies.

From Viva Las VegaStamps I used these stamps.

Crackle Background
4 3/4 x 5 3/4
Poinsettia Stamp
2 1/2 x 3 1/4

A little close up of the die cuts and stamp images....I so love this card I am going to make a few more well many many more...fa la la

Christmas Card Tutorial

I started with the Viva Las VegaStamp Crackle Background. I stamped it in Versa Mark ink and sprinkled clear embossing powder over the whole image....removed the extra embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool. This will help the crackles pop when we add color!
Next I stamped the Viva Las VegaStamp Poinsettia in Archival Black ink on Canvas Corp Brands-Tattered Angels Pure Mistable Papers-Patter Leather-White....I heat set the black ink before coloring the poinsettia flowers with Distress Marker by Ranger in Spun Sugar and Antique Linen. Highlighted the centers with a marker-warm grey to add warmth. Then I fussy cut out the images with sharp scissors...added some glue to the edges and center to adorn with Diamond Dust Glitter!
For the embossed background we started with, I added color using Canvas Corp Brands-Tattered Angels glimmer mist...I used a paint brush to control where the glimmer mist landed...I used Baby Blue and Riptide glimmer mist...set/dry with my heat tool! Wipe the image with a paper towel to remove any extra color off the embossed image...this will help it pop.
As you see here below in this photo I also die cut images from Die~Namites Dies in Canvas Corp Brands-Tattered Angels Pure Mistable Papers-Linen-White...after I die cut them I sprayed the Holly Branch in Iridescent Silver and Winter Branch in Graphite.. Also to give depth to one of the die cuts, I ran the Holly Branch through a music sheet embossing folder!!
Now you are ready to assembly your card, enjoy!

I so loved how my card came out...a little shabby inspired card!

I  have enjoyed creating with these amazing products from Viva Las VegaStamps and Die~Namites Dies....make sure you come back everyday all week long to be inspired by the DT members...also leave comments we love to hear from you all!!

Thanks for hopping along today!
Hope this sparks your Christmas creating....let's spread Christmas Cheer!

_________________________________________

Hey there everyone, Stacy here with you today sharing my project created for the Die-namites & Viva LasVegasStamps.  I love the amazing stamps that I was sent, and the vintage looking numbers were perfect to add to the cover of my little mini album.  For my die of choice I used the Snowy Sprig die.

So I created a mini album for this project today using Graphic45 Twas The Night Before Christmas collection.

The Snowy Sprig die I cut apart and layered the pieces on top of each other.  I stamped the numbers using Ranger Archival Ink (vermillion) and then cut them out.  I popped them up using foam squares over the Snowy Sprig.  It made the perfect addition to the cover of my Christmas mini album.

Supplies Used:
Die-namites - Snowy Sprig
VivaLasVegasStamps - Vintage numbers
Ranger - Archival Ink (vermillion)
Graphic 45 - Twas The Night Before Christmas
