Merry Christmas Birdhouse Card Tutorial

Hello everyone thanks for stopping by my Die-Namites Dies today.  With the Holiday Seasons fast approaching.  I started thinking about Christmas.  Christmas is a time for giving so why not go ahead and get started on those Christmas cards. What better way to do that than to use Poinsettia Adornment Die from Die-Namite Dies.

Below I show you how I created this realistic birdhouse.

Step by Step Tutorial

Step 1- Cut out two bird houses from the Fancy BirdhousesDN-1168 using your die cutting machine.
Step 2 -  Using Liqutex Modeling Paste apply a thin layer to some cardstock. After applying the modeling  past take your pallet knife and run it horizontally so you are putting some lines in the past to make it look like old wood.
Step 3 - Take one of your cut out birdhouses and apply glue to the front and attached to the piece of cardstock you covered with modeling past and cut around that so you have the birdhouse shape.
Step 4 - Use your choice of color and paint
Step 5 - Take your second birdhouse you cut out and cut apart the roof and the base carefully.
Step 6 - Attach to a piece of card stock that you have applied modeling past too.
Step 7 - Glue both the roof and the base to the birdhouse.
Step 8 - Paint roof desired color or colors.

I really like how the birdhouse came out so realistic.
It  has the look of wood that is starting to split.
