Design Team member ~ Cathia Leblanc

I am a scrapper from Quebec (Canada), a wife and a mother of three beautiful children: Samuel who is 18, Olivier who is 15 and Mya who is 10 years old. I’m a big dreamer and a passionate who wants to beleive in fairy tale. I do scrapbook now since 8 years. I adore also the photography, reading and the camping.
I rarely plan my pages. I let a photo or a patterned paper inspire me and I take it from there. I love the shabby chic and romantic style but I also enjoy working with bold patterns and bright colors. I am a person who likes to try every styles. I am constantly learning and improving. I enjoy creating and have been lucky enough to have opportunities.

I'm really pleased to have the opportunity to be part of this fabulous team and meet this new challenge.

Here is my first creation as a member of the team. To make this card, I used the dies BIRD SONG et  HEART FLOWERS.

WELCOME Cathia !!!

Design Team Member ~ Dunja Dücker

Hello :) My name is Dunja, I am 33 and live in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, Europe. I live here together with my darling. We have made, among other things, my hobby into a profession some years ago. It is great I can combine both.  :) I love to be creative.

Some years ago, I started the hobby of stamping and scrapbooking. It has so many possibilities, that's adorable. I love to work with Dies. My style is a bit vintage, a bit shabby, soft colors and I love sweet details. Whether there die cut items, rhinestones, beads, ribbons, lace and so on, without this I can not work :) I like doing different projects, such as cards, boxes, layouts, and I like it to pimp / altering things.

I am very proud to be working in this wonderful
Designteam at Die-Namites.

I look forward to this exciting time and I hope that I can inspire you. :)

I'll see you soon, Much Love, Dunja

Design Team Member ~ Lee Ann Barrett

Hi! my name is Lee Ann Barrett and I live in St Louis, Missouri with my 21 year old son and a devoted
Greyhound named Bella. I have been a crafter as long as I can remember, having done everything from cross stitch to quilting. Scrapbooking became my crafting addiction about 20 years ago. Then I was introduced to stamping a few years back, and cardmaking slowly started taking over my life! I love all styles of crafting, but most everything I do leans towards the classy and elegant style. Being a huge nature lover, I love creating with natural fibers, textures and trees, flowers, leaves and other 'natural' images, especially dies.

When I am not cutting paper or getting inky, I am a school nurse. I also enjoy travelling and photography.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Die~Namites Design Team!

The card I am sharing today makes me think spring,
which so many of us are anxiously waiting for right now!

I used the Winter Sunflower Die~Namites Die and cut it multiple times in different colors, then pieced the flower together.  A bit of sponging around the leaf edges adds some depth.  I used the Love Arrangement Die~Namites Die and cut it out of vellum, then trimmed oft bits of the leaves/branches and used them as a decorative border between my patterned paper and white card stock.
I hope I have inspired you!

Lee Ann

Design Team Member ~ Debbie Sherman

Welcome Debbie Sherman to the Design Team!!

I'm Debbie and I live in Wyoming with my husband Jeff and our 2 Labs Mojo and Pearl. I'm also a grandmother of 7, who inspire me everyday, they are the reason I started scrapping!
I have been involved with one craft of another all my life.  I started out beading jewelry when I was about 7 and sewing when I was 12. One day I discovered scrap booking and then it became an obsession/passion!  My husband thinks I'm a hoarder now but I say I'm just well supplied. My style varies and over the years has changed.  One day I can be in a Shabby Chic mood and the next day  I find myself elbow deep in paint and art places, flea markets, family, grandkids, old and vintage and color.

I'm an avid photographer and have been blessed with many professional photo opportunities. I spend time with my camera daily. More photos = more scrapping!!

I'm beyond honored to be designing for Die-Namites.

Styles and Techniques
My scrap booking style varies depending on a variety of things, mostly on the product I'm using. My inspirations are derived from a variety of people, places and things, which may or may not include, flea markets, vintage homes, museums, my favorite scrappers, photos, kids and in general. I let products influence my style along with new trends and techniques. For me it’s the variety that keeps it interesting and may even dictate a new style. My signature style almost always includes circles, stitching and 3-d elements with a shabby chic look. I love the romantic look of flourishes, crystals, flowers and stamping. I scrap mostly 12x12 LOs and strive for a variety of textures in each one. I also love mixed media and everything that goes with it. I use patterned paper for making my own embellishments and lean towards lots of layering. I love altering projects, making and giving my own handmade cards.

I'd like to share my first project with Die~Namites Dies with you.  I used the Lilacs die to create the background of this card.

This is a close of the die-cut.
Don't you love how intricate it is.
I highlighted it with ink and then added a little bling to bring out the flowers.

Design Team Member - Tonya Gibbs

Help us welcome our NEW DIE~NAMITES DESIGN TEAM....

I feel so honored to be selected for this team. Everyone is so talented, and can't wait to take this creative journey.

I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 24 years, and we have 2 beautiful children, Brittany 20, Brighton 17. In 2004, I was bitten hard by the paper crafting bug, and haven't looked back. I am a versatile artist, and love experimenting with new techniques and different styles. Because of this, I would consider my personal style to be eclectic. I can do it all - from Shabby Chic to Grunge, digital to paper crafting, mixed media to altered art. I enjoy the challenge of experimenting outside my comfort zone. I love to use my die cuts to eliminate my scraps. I am a member of Marion Smith Designs Creative Team, Educator for, blogger for We Are Artsy Addicts, and have guest designed for Teresa Collins Designs, 7Gypsies, Tattered Angels, and Canvas Corp. I love hanging out on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Youtube. I also teach monthly Ustream classes on the first Monday of each month.

Today, I would like to share with you a Mixed Media Card that I created with two of the Die-namites dies.

Sunflower Serenade Card by Tonya A. Gibbs #dienamites #TonyaGibbs #Psychomoms #mixedmedia #card #die

The star of today's project was the Sunflower Serenade die. I cut it out 4 times, and trimmed away the border from each set. I used two of the pieces as a mask and sprayed Tattered Angel's Sweet Clover Glimmer Mist to create my card's background.  Then once the pieces were dry they also became my flower garden focal point in the foreground. I trimmed off the flowers from the remaining two pieces, and colored them with pink toned Prima chalk inks to give them a rose look.

The sentiment and the little bird house were added to continue my botanical theme.   Then I trimmed off the birds from the Spring Branch die and added them for extra effect!

Spring Branch

I hope that during my time here on the blog, I can inspire you to think outside the "normal" cut of these wonderful dies.  In this one little card, I used the dies as a mask and cut them up to make a scene. It is so fun to be able to combine multiple dies to build a scene on projects.

I hope you follow me on my creative journey through these other venues:

Spring is almost here with Guest Designer Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends! My name is Irit Shalom and I am an Israeli artist.
(mostly on my spare time as in my real life I am a working dentist/Mom/Grandmother/Wife, not is this particular order)
Today I post my guest designer post on Die- Namites blog.
I was  really honored when I was asked to make a couple of projects with Die- Namites gorgeous dies. And when I got those dies  I knew I am in love with them forever!
All  dies that I received are nature inspired, so it was just natural to make this Spring project and to use as many die cuts as possible. How many? I didn't count, but it's like 30 cuts at least, most probably more.
I decided to make an altered canvas and to show how we can use  scrap paper die cuts to make our textured backgrounds over this canvas.

Here is my finished canvas: lots and lots of layers of Die-Namites die cuts with some extra tissue papers, mesh nets and Wycinanka garden window.

All paints over this altered piece are mists from Lindy's Stamp Gang only and some pearls from FWAB.
Some die cuts were separated into parts and this is the way I made those 3d flowers or got butterflies.
As you can see the whole structure was made by adding more and more die cuts under and over the window frame and by arranging  them to this spring scene.

Here is a list of dies I used for this canvas project:

I hope I inspired you a bit and I want to thank  Die- Namites team for the chance to make this post and to play with those gorgeous dies.
