Project Life Flowering Card

My husband and I LOVE Disney World, and we recently went to the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. It is one of my favorite times of the year there. It is so happy, there are flowers everywhere, and it always smells so good! This is a card that I will be placing into one of my Project Life Pages.

I used 2 dies and hand cut Mickey heads. The two dies are:

Flowering Branch                                Beautiful Flowers

I love these two dies, they are completely adorable, and the perfect size for Project Life cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

Spring: It's for the Birds!

Hello Everyone!

There are so many great new spring dies here at Die~Namites; it was hard for me to decide which to use.  I settled on this wonderfully springy and whimsical  Fancy Birdhouses Die~Namites Die; I paired it with a brand new sentiment stamp of mine that makes a perfect house warming card!

Flowers were added to the tree branch, using the Spring Blossoms Die~Namites Die.  I added more whimsy to the card by using felt for my flowers and leaves.

I made a few of the flowers a darker yellow by pressing them into my yellow stamp pad.

To make the birdhouses, I selected several patterned papers that I thought went well together.  I cut the houses out in the variety of papers, then pieced the different patterns together.

Each house is layered onto a  cardstock base a couple of layers of cs thick.  This not only gives a solid base to adhere pieces to (so none of my little pieces fall out), but also adds a bit of dimension to the card.  I wanted to pop the bird houses up a bit but felt that dimensionals would be too much.

Once my die cuts were complete, I free hand cut a couple of clouds from some adhesive masking paper and then sponged in a sky.  To finish off the card, I then adhered the die cuts, stamped my sentiment and added a multi-looped Hemptique twine bow, embellished with two buttons.

To recap, my card was made using these two Die~Namites Dies~

Spring Blossoms

I hope I have inspired you to get out your spring Die~Namites Dies
and play!

Guest Designer - Marta - Cards For Every Occassion

Hi guys.
It's Marta here. Todays is my last day with you.
I will show you two of my flowery cards. They have the same design yet they have different colours.
I could not decide which I like better so thought I share them both.
It's a simple design but it is still classy and good for every occassion.

I have used cute little Leafy Flourish Die from Die-Namites.
It's a fantastic die and it can be used for nearly every project. It is a must have die. Flowers are made from fabric with gem in the middle.

Hello everybody.
It's Marta here again :)
I am so happy to see you here for my second reveal of my guest designer projects.
Today I would love the share with you my greenish art journal page.
My biggest inspiration for this piece was our current life. We live very fast, technology is around us and there is no time for reflection, no time to slow down...

In my work I have used stunning Leafy Branch die from Die-Namites.
I sticked this die in two different ways - flat and as 3d effect.

Here is my take on the March Sketch and Challenge Dare!!
dare-was to use purple...

Started with a plain white card base,
grabbed my leftover coffee and stained the card base
and doily...
I used a Crafters Workshop Stencil "mini chicken wire"
as a the purple H2O's!!
Used a scrap piece of  paper by Glitz Design...inked edges with the H2O's
purple...added some lace and pearls....

Butterfly Corner

for the dare challenge-purple...
I used  Twinkling H2O's watercolors in
Raspberry Wine
Sugar Plum

Not only did I color the Die~Namites Die with the H2O's I also
colored the Petaloo flower!!!
Stamped the Best Wishes by Close To My Heart-Banner Wishes Stamp.
