Happy Halloween

Hi everyone. It's me, Susanne,
again today and I'd like to share with you a Halloween treat bag.
I tried to design it a little bit creepy...

I used the following Die~Namites Dies to decorate my bag:

If you would like to see me creating the bag, than check out my video.

I hope you enjoyed the video! I wish you all a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Hugs, Susanne.

Thank you Susanne for sharing your talents with us here at Die~Namites Dies!!
We have enjoyed how you took "not so" Halloween dies and
created two wonderful projects.
Thank you!

Halloween or Fall Decoration

Hi everyone, it's my first post as a guest designer for Die~Namites dies today and at first I wanna say thank you for choosing me to the guest design team. The Die~Namites dies are absolutely awesome!

Today I'd like to share with you a fall/ Halloween decoration project.

I created a little lantern with my Silhouette Studio and decorated it with the following Die~Namites dies. At the beginning I was not sure if I could manage a halloween themed project with these lovely dies, but I think I got it!

http://www.die-namites.com/Bird-Wreath_p_10.html

http://www.die-namites.com/Large-Ivy_p_180.html

http://www.die-namites.com/Spring-Doily_p_166.html

I was totally impressed, that the intricate doily cut so easily!

I cut all the dies out of black cardstock. I cut the Large Ivy into pieces and covered them with Distress Ink Embossing Powder (Peeled Paint, Dusty Concord and Spiced Marmalad). So I got nice colors and a beautiful texture.
I used the Spring Doily for the inside of my luminary windows. Therefor I also used pieces of the complete die cut.

The Bird Wreath is covered with Black Distress Embossing Powder and I also cut of a little part.

The backside of my lantern is some orange vellum. I put the Large Ivy (covered with Spiced Marmalad Distress Embossing Powder) on it. So I get a nice silhouette. It's looks awesome with a LED candle light.

I hope you like my decoration and maybe you are inspired to create your own. I'd be happy if you'd also visit my blog. You can download the cutting file for the lantern there.

Have a nice day and see you all soon! Hugs, Susanne.

"Welcome Baby" card with Susie Bentz

Hello and welcome!
Susie here today with a card featuring one of our all new baby themed dies, Sweet Pea:

I created this using the Die-Namites Dies October Sketch Challenge and Dare.
Here is the sketch:

And here are the dies I used for my project:

You can see below that I used all of the layers from the sketch.
I changed them up a bit, putting the lace and ribbon on top of the layer holding my sentiment:

Here is a close up of the Sweet Pea die cut,
which I cut in (2) different shades of green so I could mix and match the colors:
I also die cut the sweet little face out of white cardstock,
coloring with ink to a peachy flesh tone before I trimmed it with scissors and adhered it on top.

The "dare" portion of the challenge was to use burlap on the project,
which I accomplished with this 5/8" strip of burlap ribbon:

Here's another look at the finished card:

October Sketch and Dare Challenge by Tonya Gibbs

I wanted to share with you a Thank You card that I created for the
 October Sketch & Dare Challenge

Here is a glimpse at this month's sketch

I used the new Pretty-Cornucopia die to create my focal point on the card.

This month's DARE is to use BURLAP!
I replaced the ribbon in the sketch for a piece of Burlap Ribbon.

The sketch shows a ribbon bow and other filler dies. I replaced the ribbon bow with the Pretty-Cornucopia die. Since the die had so many details, I decided to cut it from 4 different card stock colors and paper piece it together.  I love how it now serves as the focal point on my card, changing the look of the sketch.

I used the scraps from the front of the card, to decorate the inside. The pumpkin was the remains of the yellow layer used on the front.  I used my Distress Markers in Ripe Persimmon and Peeled Paint to add color to the pumpkin.

Here is a process video showing how the card came together

Hello and welcome!
Susie here today to share a home dec project:

To create this project I used these dies:

The best way to start off a baby-themed project is to use a stork, right?

The stork was die cut from dark pink, light pink and white cardstock and then layered.
I added an extra die cut of the wing to the back for a little extra dimension!

The baby's room had a tiny set of tennis shoes on a shelf.
Mom and dad used these in the baby announcement so they have sentimental value!

This seemed like the perfect place to include a string of baby clothes.
They were die cut from 2 shades of pink and then I swapped out the negative shapes!

I love sepia toned pictures!
The brown tone also ties in the chipboard pieces and the scrabble tiles.

I created an accent piece by cutting the Spring Doily from white and dark pink cardstock:

I finally had a chance to hold baby Zoe!

These leafy vines were trimmed off of the Sweet Pea die cut:

I cut the Sweet Pea die in (2) shades of green and swapped out the negative pieces:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie
