Help me in welcoming International Guest Designer...

Hiya to all the crafters out there., it is my turn to host the Post for Die-namites and.....right before Christmas I managed to make a Wintery Vintage Baby Card using the wonderfull Elegant Heart Frame....from

This is the Elegant Heartframe that I worked with, don't you just love it, I do.....and you can do so many things with it, really you should try it out, just click the image and it will take you to the store where you can purchase it guys....don't waste any time and go over there ......

This is what I have made for your inspiration, I used the Elegant Heart frame but of course you can work with one of the the other amazing Dies from Die-Namites of course....just check out the store and you will find loads of fabulous dies ....oke here we go....

This is the Vintage Baby Card that I made, how I made it? I will tell you....I started out with a piece of Cardstock and cut it in 15 cm x 15 cm. I used one layer of brown paper and one layer of blue paper and on top of the paper I worked with a couple of stencils with Crackle Paste....just love Crackle Paste because it gives such a nice fragile to colour the background I played with Pearlescent Pan Pastels, did you ever try that out, especially with these your background gets a nice shimmer and the cracks are filled up too with the nice shimmer.....

Than I had this cute little baby image that I found on the internet and wanted to use it underneath the Frame. I cut it with blue paper and made dots on it and on top of the frame I put 3d accents to give the frame a dimensional look. On top a few pearls and underneath some lace to give it a more vintagy feel. I think when you make a card you don't always NEED a sentiment but incase of a baby card this wonderful sentiment could not be missed. I love this one.

I sure hope that I have given you some inspiration on how to make a Vintage Baby card and want to wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.....

and don't forget

Last Minute Christmas Ideas with Tyra and Susie!

Today is our final day of Last Minute Christmas Ideas!

Hi It's Tyra and I'm here with two quick holiday cards.  I decided to go with a Clean and Simple theme where the Die-Namites dies take center stage:

I used Ranger watercolor paper, Distress inks and a water brush to simply color each die.  You can color the the paper beforehand, like I did for the trees, OR wait to color after you have made the die cut.  Stamp a sentiment onto your card base, add your die cut and you are done!

Die-Namites intricate dies are perfect for quick clean and simple cards.

The following dies were used to create these cards:

I hope I have inspired you today! Stope by Die-Namites Facebook Page to stay up to date on the latest releases! Happy Holidays!!! xo, Tyra

Susie here to share one of my favorite last-minute Christmas gifts!  Would you like to create a personalized, inexpensive Christmas gift that will be used and appreciated every day - and do it in about an hour?
If so, then check out this desk calendar I created with the help of Die~Namites Dies:
I used these dies in my project:
It really is fast and easy to make!  First, pick up an acrylic picture frame like the one below.
It is intended to display (2) -5"x7" pictures.  I think I found this one at WalMart.
The background paper is cut to 7" x 10.25". I added a transparency frame in the location I plan to place the Post-It note pad then slid it into the frame.  You can see here that the frame is turned on its side:
Take a peek at a couple more of the transparencies I used on this project.
I simply slid them into place between the acrylic frame and the background paper and pressure holds them in place!  Quick and easy details!
On top of the acrylic frame, I placed a layered die cut I created using the Sweet Pea Die and the Spring Doily Die
I added a matted a photo of my niece with her name spelled out using a glittered alpha!
Next come the Post-It note pad and a mini-calendar...
...create a mini-family with some wood veneers and you are done!
Here's another view:
I order my mini-calendars from SkyBluePink, however you can always print your own if you are short on time. Redcastle offers free downloadable software that lets you size and print calendars at home.

Now just think about the possibilities!
Change the paper and the picture and you have a lovely wedding gift or birthday present!

Last Minute Christmas Idea by Tonya Gibbs

Welcome to day four of our Last Minute Christmas Ideas,
Today, Tonya is up with a GREAT Gift idea....

Hi everyone, Christmas is right around the corner, and will be here before you know it.  So what do you get for that one person who has it all?  Well, what about a beautiful layout created on a canvas or placed in frame?

Today I'm using these dies to create my layout:

I chose a soft green and Gold color palette today. I thought the simplicity of these colors would add sophistication to the layout.  Also these colors are super neutral and would match any home d├ęcor.

I used the Heidi Swapp Seafoam Color Shine to color my Large Ivy Dies and to create the splash of color on the background. To  add sparkle, I heat embossed my other die cuts with gold embossing powder from Ranger Ink. The die cut pieces were paired with a few crocheted flowers in white to keep this layout delicate and soft.   I decided to keep my wood veneer pieces unfinished.

The soft colors really help my photo take center stage.

Here is a process video sharing how I created the layout:

The only thing left to do is place the layout inside a beautiful frame. Then my last minute gift is ready to wrap.  I'm sure this will bring tears of joy to that one person on your list that has EVERYTHING!

Thanks for stopping in today,
Tonya A. Gibbs

Last Minute Christmas Ideas......with Peggy and Annmarie

Hope you all are enjoying the "Last Minute Christmas Ideas" that the
Design Team have been sharing this week on the blog....
I have been inspired by them all
and excited to see the rest of the Design Team members, projects to come.

Here is my "Last Minute Gift Idea" using Die~Namites Dies.
"Christmas Altered Paper Bag Gift Set"
I grabbed a paper lunch bag (we all have a few of those laying around).
I taped down the flap (bottom of bag)
Add old book paper I ripped and inked edges.
Found a box and cut down to size of the paper bag, card front and ripped
a layer of card board off,
glued down and white this look.
"Paper Bag"
Grabbed a few my favorite Die~Namites Dies..die cut out a whole bunch
in white card stock so I could color them with color mists. I also used color mists
and paint brush to color the die cuts too...and seam binding!

Here are the Die~Namites Dies
I used for my Last Minute Christmas Ideas...projects!!
Winter Cardinal

Winter Branch

Holiday Wreath

I love to use found objects (collected objects) on my projects...
like these tiny rose pine cones....and I rolled old book papers
tied with burlap twine...added some Gesso splatters and drops to
give the look of fallen snow!
What is really fun about using the Die~Namites Dies
is cutting them apart to create a whole new look...coloring them with mists & inks
and cutting out more than one and popping them up for depth.

Thanks for stopping by today, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas!! Hope this has inspired you to look through your household, craft supplies and create a handmade gift.

Hello everyone it's Annmarie Colbert, I decided to use the Die-Namites December Monthly Sketch & Dare Challenge to create this elegant card and gift bag set.

This month's dare is to use something Metallic

  1. Use at least one Die-Namites Die in your creation.
  2. Use the SKETCH! It can be interpreted (loosely or exactly) as a card, layout or altered piece!
  3. Incorporate the DARE into your creation.
  4. Mention the Die-Namites Die you used in your blog post.
  5. Link back to the Die-Namites Die.

You have until the last day of the month to post your creation on your blog and link up to this post.  **PLEASE add a link to your direct post, not your entire blog.**

Each participant will receive one entry into our random drawing
for each entry into the challenge.

A random winner will be chosen from eligible participants for a
$25 Gift Certificate to Die-Namites Dies.

I started with some green card stock for the base of the card; the top layer is cut out in shimmering white card stock and embossed with the  Sizzix holly embossing folder. I positioned the white card stock in the embossing folder in an angle so that it was coming down from the left hand corner.

For the flower I created a step by step video tutorial on how to created the snowflake flower using the Elegant Snowflake Die below:

For the cluster I cut out 2 of the Elegant Holly Dies and applied some red rhinestones to accent the branch and arranged the holly so it was flowing down from the flower. The sentiment was embossed using some silver embossing powder.
To create the gift bag I left off the embossing folder part and did not cut down the Elegant Holly Die because I wanted it to cover more of the bag, I just repeated the process for the bag.

Last Minute Christmas Ideas....

We have TWO FABULOUS last minute Christmas Ideas!
First up we have Cathia Leblanc....

There is my creation for the last minute Christmas Ideas.

I love die shaped Christmas balls.
So it was really a pleasure to make this card for you.

Here is my card:

Here is a close up of the dies
on my card.

There is the die that I used :

I really hope that will give you a little of inspiration.

Have a good day!!!

Next we have a SUPER CUTE Last Minute Christmas Idea
from DT member Stacy Rodriguez....

Hey there everyone, Stacy here to share a fun little way to give those Holiday treats to your co-workers.  I'm always looking for fun ways to give holiday treats to people other than on a platter.  I came across these cute SRM boxes and began decorating them.  I filled them with Christmas M&M's.

I love how this Bird Wreath looks when it's cut out so I used that die for this project.

I cut a strip of pattern paper and placed that across the bottom part of the box both on the front and back side.  I used one of the tags from the paper collection.  I popped up the sentiment on the tag and tied it on the handle of the box with some May Arts ribbon.

I grabbed the Bird Wreath die and cut the pattern paper out with it.  put just a little adhesive on the left side of the wreath and adhered it to the back side of the sentiment, by only adhering the one side it allowed me to wrap it around the sentiment to highlight the tis' the season.

Supplies Used:
Die-namites - Bird Wreath
Simple Stories - DIY collection
SRM - box
May Arts - Ribbon

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope this gives you a cute and easy last minute gift idea for your co-workers.
