Welcome, today I want to share share two creations that I made using two wonderful die cuts, the Summer Branch and Love Heart.
In this card I used the Faux Watercolor Technique to create the background. I used an acrylic block with three different colored markers: Tangelo Twist, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. After coloring the block with these, I sprayed it with water and stamped over the White confetti paper, and I let dry. Then I stamped the sentiment with classic Chocolate Ink using one of the images of the stamp set Sassy Salutations from Stampin Up.
My next card is a little different, in this I used Brushed Copper Metal Sheet to cut my die, the Love Heart. This is one of my favorites die cuts and to give this manly look to my card, I used a chocolate coordinations cardstock with a diamond embossing folder.
I sanded the embossed paper and decorated the bottom part using a designer paper with antique cards from Quick Quotes Scrapbook Company. Also, I created a little piece using Very Vanilla Cardstock, layered over Cherry Cobbler, with the same diamond embossing to works like background of my metal heart.
As special detail, I tied little pieces of red baker's twine over the top with staples to add more dimension.
