LOVE Canvas

A while back, I purchased a big bag of
Naked Wood Pieces by the Old Vermonter.

My grandson and I decided to sort through them
to see what was in this big bag of goodies.

The first thing that caught my eye
was an AWESOME wooden heart
and I instantly had an idea.....
which I HAD to get out of my head....

I pulled out my stash of Die~Namites Dies "heart" dies
and the Regal Heart worked PERFECTLY!

I used lots of stencils, texture medium with a spritz of color
for the background of my art canvas.

A bit of CCB burlap and
see the wooden heart I painted...
Then I added a layer of texture medium

I finished off my creation with
a piece of CCB twine and a Petaloo flower!

Hope you enjoyed my creative journey!!

Tulip Garden Pail by Pam Bray

Hi!!!  Pam today on the Die-Namites Blog sharing with you how to make this cute little pail. It would be a great Mother's Day Gift, May Day Package or just fun Treat Pail for you to make and give to someone special.

Begin by cutting out several of the Die-Namites Tulip Garden (DN-1145)
die cuts out from pattern paper.

I use my Xyron Create A Sticker MAX for my adhesive of choice for these very intricate pieces plus they adhere so nicely to the acetate pail.

Cut 1/2" strips from the green pattern paper, add adhesive and place at the bottom of the pail first, then add the Die-Namites Tulip Garden (DN-1145) die cuts that you have prepared over the strips at the bottom of the can.

I cut several of the Die-Namites Garden Tulip (DN-1145) die cuts out from pattern paper, ran them through the Xyron Create a Sticker MAX.

While Tulip Garden die cuts are still on the adhesive paper color the yellow flowers with a yellow Copic Marker, do a bit of doodling and cut the flower top off and add them to the green Tulip Garden die cut that you have placed on the can.  Repeat with the blue pattern Tulip Garden die cuts.

Punch a few circles and scallop circle out, layer to the top of can, add a fancy button that has been threaded with some twine.

Add a blue embossed piece to the inside of can that has a yellow pattern scallop border. Make a fun tag...make sure to place your sentiment on it and add a tan twine bow. Well I am so glad you stopped by the Die-Namites Blog today and hope you will look around at our blog for more inspiration as well as check out the fabulous Die-Namites Store. Hugs Pammejo

April Sketch Challenge With Tina

Hi Everyone,
It's Tina today showing you another creation using the Die~Namites April Sketch Challenge.

I am so happy with the results.  With Spring finally here I wanted to make an earthy card and once that was done I knew it was for my mother for Mother's Day.  Can you believe it will be next month?

I used the "Small Ivy" die.

Love the effect it created around my flowers.  I cut it into two parts using it around the flowers.  The burlap sack I had was from a package from Coffee Beans.  I am so happy I kept that.  I used sand paper and a crumper to create a woodsy paper background.  The flowers are a mixture of the Prima and I Am Roses.  The stems are from the local dollar store.  They come in handy sometimes.  I used Adirondack Color Wash spray because I needed a big orange flower.

Here are the results.  TFL and have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Die-Namites fans! Martha Lucia here with an April Sketch Twist for you. I love to use sketches for my creations and this month is not an exception. I decided to change the ribbon for something different.

To make this I used a Moroccan Lattice Stencil that I covered partially with gold embossing paste to create a distress look on the borders. Then I cut out Dainty Daisies Die Cut in two different colors of decorated paper: green and coral. And let me tell you, this die cut is one of the most wonderful die cuts that I have. The details, flowers and leaves are amazing!!!

I secured both die cuts with a green decorated brad and moved one of the cuts a little to create a dimension. Then I pasted the Die Cuts over the embossed background using the Double Sided Adhesive Dots from Tombow. Finally, I stamped my sentiment using an image from So Susy Stamps called Hola.

Now let me show all the details of the Dainty Daisies, this wonderful Die Cut that I used for my today´s card.
