Hi my dear crafty friends. I'd like to share this mixed media tag today. I love creating tags, because you can try new techniques on a small background. So if it does not work, it doesn't matter. I used Gelatos and texture paste on the background. The stencil is the "Dotfade" by Tim Holtz. For some sparkle and shine and also for more contrast I used Fran-tage shabby white embossing enamel and Twinkling H2Os.
The 3d flower is created with the awesome dies from Die-Namites. I used the Leafy Branch and the Branches Galore dies.
You will get 15% discount on your next order in the Die-Namites online store with the code "susanne15". Here are some step by step photos on how I build up the flower:
I cut the dies from patterned scrap paper. The Branches Galore is colored with an orange Neocolor II crayon. I scribbled the color onto my craft mat and used a brush to paint it on.
I distressed the Leafy Branch with Distress Ink Black Soot and a brown Neocolor II crayon.
To get some sparkling leaves I adhered a piece of heavy weight kraft cardstock onto double sided tape and run it through the Big Shot. I did this only once to prevent the inner pieces from falling out immediately. I exposed the sticky and add glitter to the leaves.
I used glue dots to build up the flower. I started with a glue drop on a piece of scrap paper and adhered each leaf seperately.
I used Twinklings H2Os to add some sparkle. I used the Mango Freeze and the Bashful Blue.
Here are some detailed images:
I used some metallic beads to create the center of my flower.
I hope you like my tag. Don't forget about my discount code to save 15% on your next order in the Die-Namites online store. Use "susanne15" during checkout.
